Mekong Strategic Capital successfully completes US Government’s flagship climate finance program for South East Asia
USAID Green Invest Asia, for which Mekong Strategic Capital was the sole mandated finance and investment advisor, held its close out event in Bangkok on Friday 19 May 2023.
​
Mekong Strategic Capital worked exclusively as the finance and investment advisor and exceeded the targeted results on this innovative climate finance landscapes program across Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
​
In the space of six years the project:

Leveraged the US Government’s investment 20x

Structured, arranged and closed USD 446M of investment into various sustainable landscape businesses

Achieved 156M tons greenhouse gas emissions reduction through this financing

Supported the conversion of 1.7M hectares to more sustainable use, by working with corporates, as well as small holder farmer groups.
